The long version of the upper-body lipedema garment: the torso extends further down to cover the waist as well as the arms. It closes with hook-and-eye at the front, and each sleeve has its own zipper that opens so a swollen arm can be fed in comfortably. Who is it for? Lipedema where it reaches the trunk and not only the arms, and the period after liposuction of the arms and upper trunk where the doctor advises extended compression. The practical difference is that the short model stops around the bust line, leaving an edge that can dig in when the waist itself is swollen. How is it worn? Each sleeve zipper is opened first and the arm fed in without pulling or twisting, then the zipper is closed and the front hook-and-eye column is fastened from the bottom upward. It is best put on in the morning before swelling builds, and daily wear time is set by the supervising doctor.
